<p><strong>Tomm Moore</strong></p>
<p>Tomm founded Cartoon Saloon In 1999 with Paul Young while studying animation at Ballyfermot Senior College, Dublin. Over the company&#8217;s history, he has worked as Director, Art Director and Animator on a range of projects from commercials to service work for feature films and TV series, as well as a number of short film projects. During this period, Tomm found time to illustrate several books for children and young people, including two award-winning graphic novels in the Irish language. <em>The Secret of Kells </em>is his debut as director of a feature film. Tomm also wrote and illustrated two tie-in comic books to the film, which have been published in France and Belgium. He is currently developing his second feature film <em>The Song of the Sea</em>. Tomm is mostly interested in exploring 2d design possibilities in his animation work, finding ways to bring together influences from illustration and comic books into animation. He prefers cartoons over real life&#8230;</p>

<p>Nora is a creative director and one of the founding members of the <a href="http://www.cartoonsaloon.ie/" target="_blank">Cartoon Saloon</a>. She studied animation at Ballyfermot College in Dublin during which time she won a prestigious internship to Disney&#8217;s studio which was then based in Paris. Nora directs many of the television commercials produced by Cartoon Saloon; she has directed two multi-award winning animated short films &#8211; <em>From Darkness</em> and <em>CúilínDualach</em> <em>(Backwards Boy); </em>she was a director on the stunning series of <em>Anam An Amhráin</em> as well as being co-director of Cartoon Saloon&#8217;s Oscar® nominated animated feature film, <em>The Secret of Kells </em>under the directorship of Cartoon Saloon creative partner Tomm Moore<em>.</em></p>

<p>Diane discovered a passion for drawing and animation at the tender age of 5. Fast forward to 2002 and she graduated with honours and an impressive showreel from her class at Ecole Emile Cohl. Diane arrived on Irish shores to join the Cartoon Saloon team after working as a character designer, 3D modeler and animator in the video games industry. Diane has worked with Cartoon Saloon as a director, animator, illustrator, and character designer, and was part of the early design and development of <em>The Secret of Kells.</em></p>

<p>Adrien is a talented young director whose short film <em>Old Fangs</em> produced by Cartoon Saloon is currently enjoying the global festival circuit. Adrien studied at EMCA in Angouleme and has worked as a director, concept designer, art director and illustrator. He was a key member of the art direction team on the Oscar® nominated <em>The Secret of Kells</em>, and helped create the unique visual style for the film.</p>
