The film is set to open in New York City on 5th March, Boston on 19th March and expanding 2nd April to New York, Chicago, San Francisco and other markets.   The Secret of Kells is the debut feature film from the team at Cartoon Saloon and its recent Academy Award ® nomination for Best Animated Feature was a huge achievement.  Cartoon Saloon is sharing the nominations with major studios Pixar and Disney   The film, now available on DVD [1], was also nominated in the recent Annie Awards. Cartoon Saloon began as an informal partnership between a group of animators brought together by Paul Young and Tomm Moore in 1999.  The company has since grown into a multi-award winning animation and illustration design studio and develops and produces feature film and TV series projects while producing award winning short films, television commercials, graphic novels and children’s books.
