Storyboard Artist

for our feature film in pre-production

Start date: January 2018

End date: Approx April 2018

Location: Kilkenny

 

Responsibilities

As a storyboard artist, you will work closely with the Director(s) to  

- Create Storyboards for the scenes/ sequences assigned

- Create animatics of their sequences in Toonboom Storyboard Pro using scratch or final dialogue  

- Depending on assigned sequence work on required stage of storyboard process, which could be first pass work (working from the script or a rough beatboard created by the directors) or implement notes on existing passes

- Refer to directors notes, thumbnails and any relevant concept art discussed during the briefing

- Developing characters and dramatic action scene by scene 
- Meet deadlines as established by production management

 

Requirements

- experience in a similar position for at least 2 months

- familiar with Toonboom Storyboard Pro

- Artist needs to be able to take direction well, follow Directors' notes and changes, and make the required revisions

Line Producer

to work with us on a TV series

Start date: TBC

Location: Kilkenny

As a Line Producer, you will work closely with the Producer, Head of Production, Supervising Director and Production Managers to oversee day-to-day operations of the 2D Digital production; managing schedule, crew, and processes.

You will work with the Series Director and Heads of Departments to facilitate the creative needs of the project. You will also update the producer on series status and crew performance while ensuring the project remains on schedule and on budget.

Responsibilities:

- Work with the Producer, Production Managers and Department Supervisors to create, implement and run the schedule, track and manage the workflow through the departments, meet internal and external deadlines, track and manage the budget allocated for the project.

- Oversee Production Managers and ensure the good organisation of dailies, reviews and meetings and the taking of notes and follow up of information

- Oversee the recruitment of talent for the whole project and keep the team motivated.

- Manage all communication with client, working closely with the Studio Supervising Director

- Submit weekly reports to Cartoon Saloon Managing Director, Producers, Head of Production and Client

- Anticipate and communicate issues to the Producer, Head of Production and Studio COO in order to resolve problems quickly

 

Qualifications:

- Must have minimum 2 years experience in a leadership role on TV series or Feature animation production

- Experience with some production tracking software and asset management software, preferably Shotgun

- Experience and knowledge with 2D Digital pipelines and workflow

- Good knowledge of Google pack (Sheet, Doc) and Microsoft Office pack (Excel, Word) needed

- Excellent written, verbal and analytical skills; able to clearly communicate vision, priorities and timelines

- Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail

- Must have the ability to influence and coach others through effective communication

- Must be able to keep a calm and respectful attitude under pressure to maintain a positive, upbeat and professional team environment.

Production Managers

We are looking for Production Managers willing to relocate to our studio in Kilkenny (Ireland) for the duration of the contract. These positions would suit experienced Production Managers with an interest in developing further in our growing studio.

The candidate will be responsible for the management of all processes, procedures, outputs and deliverables for all departments through the production while ensuring that the department’s outputs are aligned with the production schedule as well as the creative vision of the production

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate must have at least 1-2 years experience as Production Manager in TV or Feature animation production
  • Strong written, verbal and analytical skills
  • Experience with some production tracking software and asset management software, preferably Shotgun

We are looking for Production Coordinators to join our existing and upcoming production in
Cartoon Saloon - details below:

Job description:
- Work very closely with the Production Manager, Line Producer and Department Supervisors
- Coordinate the day-to- day operation of the assigned departments in Cartoon Saloon
- Maintain close communication with crew regarding their tasks and deadlines
- Check on individual artists progress and highlight delays to Production Manager
- Populate Assets and Data in Shotgun
- Attend all meetings requirement by the production
- Address any problems with Production Manager and Line Producer
Qualifications:
- Must have minimum one year experience in TV or Feature animation production
- Experience with some production tracking software and asset management software, preferably
Shotgun
- Good written, verbal and analytical skills
- Must have the ability to influence and coach others through effective communication
and the promotion of a positive team environment.
