In partnership with The Ark a Breadwinner workshop has been announced and it is open to all budding artists and animators.
During the workshop you will get some sneak peeks at The Breadwinner as you learn more about Parvana, a 12 year old girl growing up in Afghanistan in 2001. When her father is arrested, Parvana dresses as a boy in order to work and provide for her family. Based on the best-selling novel, The Breadwinner is an amazing story of family and friendship, set against one of the most defining moments in recent living history.
You will be able to join animator Rory Conway as he talks you through the animation process and asks you to put yourself in Parvana’s shoes, the lead character in The Breadwinner film. Read through the story and recreate Parvana's adventures by drawing out the storyboard as seen through your own eyes. Rory will guide you through the storyboard technique and help bring your imagination to life.
The Breadwinner workshop is aimed at 9-12 year olds and you can purchase your tickets here now.
