Animated series “Puffin Rock” has been nominated for two Annie Awards.
Aimed at pre-schoolers and set on a beautiful island off the coast of Ireland; the series follows the adventures of Oona and her little brother Baba as they explore the island environment and make exciting discoveries with their friends.
Narrated by comedy star Chris O’Dowd (Moone Boy, IT Crowd), the series is a co-production between twice Oscar-nominated Cartoon Saloon, Dog Ears and Penguin Random House.
Puffin Rock is nominated for the following awards:
Outstanding Achievement, Production Design in an Animated TV/Broadcast Production – Episode: Night Lights – Production Design: Lily Bernard, Marie Thorhauge, Stefano Scapolan
Outstanding Achievement, Music in an Animated TV/Broadcast Production – Episode: Night Lights – Composer/Lyricist: Einar Tonsberg
Now in its 43rd year, the Annie Awards recognizes the years best in animation; and will take place on Saturday, February 6, 2016, at UCLA’s Royce Hall in Los Angeles, California.
